Welcome to the Airport Managers Blog!
My topic for the A.A.A.E Research paper and paragraph outline have been approved. This means I can start to actually write the paper. As I said before the paper must be at least 30 pages long and applicable to all management levels at an airport.
The American Association of Airport Executives has made some changes in how the paper can be formated, which fotunirly means I can structure my paper a little different then just a plain old documentary style research paper.
The topic of my paper is "Using Computer-Based Technology in Meeting 14 CFR, Part 139 Self-Inspection Requirements". This topic is of special interest to me for a number of different reasons, mainly because ensuring part 139 compliance is my main duty at the airport (besides the management stuff), and secondly because I am developing the airport record keeping system for airports called OpenAirport.org.
The paper is currently 21 pages long and a little over half done, so I should meet the paper requirements without any problems.

Did you get the paper done? I am on the airport authority of a part 139 airport and would like to read it or see the computer program you are using

The paper is not completed, with the recent changes to the requirements i may have to take a few pages out. It just may be too long.
